【高速起動Linux Xandros Presto HDD/USBメモリ起動時間比較】

前記事で高速起動Linux Xandros PrestoのUSBメモリインストールを紹介したが、デフォルトの内蔵ハードディスク（Windowsシステムドライブ）インストールと起動時間の比較を行った。

内蔵ハードディスク（SATA160.0GB）インストールの場合

USBメモリ（8.0GB）インストールの場合

USBメモリの場合PrestoがUSBメモリを認識するまでに約9秒も掛かっている。
それでも結果は4.5秒の差しかない。
なぜかハードディスクはstartx起動から最後まで9.5秒掛かっているが、USBメモリの場合は6秒で済んでいる。
特にXfce起動はUSBメモリの方が速い。
このUSBメモリはA-DATA XPC-8GBという200倍速の高速タイプでランダムアクセスが速い。
それがXfce起動に反映されているのかもしれない。
