EMINENT EM7075 はコンパクトなリモコンが付いてるが、アイオーの AV-LS500LE は、一部ボタンの使えない、変なリモコンになっている。（日本語ファイル名検索のため？）
その他は、UI が同じ、外部仕様も同じ、ファームウェアのファイル構成も全く同じだ。

EM7075 は、Sigma Designs SMP8655 という SoC(システムオンチップ)を搭載している。

Sigma Designs SMP8655 は、500MHz MIPS CPU+FPU の他、333MHz MIPS IPU,333MHz Security CPU、HD Video Decoder 等をオンチップしている。

既に EM7075 では EM7075 homebrew という改造ファームが公開されている。

EMINENT サイト内のフォーラムで公開されているので、公認みたいだ。

This firmware enables the following:
    * based on 2.00.06-T3 firmware
    * external dvd drive capability
    * full USB hub support
    * mounting of sigma8655 Optware package (if available) at boot
    * mounting of app bin packs (if available) at boot
    * mounting of OSD overlay (if available) at boot
    * mounting of NFS under 'network shares' (http://b-rad.cc/cifs-interceptor)
    * Ximeta NDAS device support (requires ndas app pack - coming soon)
    * configurable to automount NFS shares
    * user suppliable smb.conf file
    * Automatic Samba and NFSD share exporting
    * user suppliable background & screen saver images

外付け DVD ドライブ、Optware? や app 、OSD オーバレイ、samba や nfsd 等機能拡張できるみたいだ。Ximeta NDAS はネットワークディスクになる機能だ。
改造ファームは入手済みだが、AV-LS500LE は未だ購入して間もないので、ファーム書き換えは恐くてできない。
